History and Rules
Bedford Angling Club has been in existence since 1872. It is affiliated to the Angling Trust and the club were the National Federation of Anglers Champions in 1959. ​​​​​
New to fishing or need some help?
We firmly believe that spending time fishing in the great outdoors offers huge mental health and wellbeing benefits.
We also recognise that for those new to the sport, getting the right equipment and building the necessary skills can seem a bit daunting.
Therefore, we are committed to helping people of any age or background to start fishing, and to get as much enjoyment from it as we do!

At Bedford Angling Club we have two qualified Angling Trust Coaches who would be happy to advise anyone thinking of taking up fishing (contact us via the email address shown on the contact page). We also plan to run taster/junior events in the summer months – details of these will be advertised on our Facebook page.
